WOODEN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION STAGES
What are the timber building construction stages ?
|
Stage 1: Ground Works
This involves all the work required to get your oak frame construction up to damp proof level ready to accept the oak frame.
All of the key services required like water, electricity and drains are put in at this stage.
|
 |
Stage 2: Oak Frame Construction
The major sections of the oak frame construction are made in our workshops and will arrive on-site, along with the rest of the materials.
Our carpenters will then assemble the frame. In most cases a typical oak frame construction will go up in a few days. |
 |
Stage 3: Roof and Stud Work
Once the oak frame construction has been erected the roof and stud work can be cut and fixed.
This is also the time when the plumbing and wiring is put in and any doors and windows fitted. |
 |
Stage 4: Stained Cladding Roof and Tiles
Finally your oak-framed building is clad, stained in the colour of your choice and the roof covering is added. |
